I'm always busy poking away at new creations, unless my mischievous Bengal cat decides to claim my workspace for a nap. I aim to release a fresh collection of unique pieces every 3 months, so stay tuned for some woolly wonders!

    • Material: Needle felted portraits are made from wool fibres, typically using merino or other fine wool varieties.
      • Technique: The process involves using barbed needles to interlock the wool fibres, creating a dense and firm texture for detailed designs.
        • Layers: Artists often start with a base layer of wool, gradually adding more layers to build up colours and textures.
          • Colour Blending: Different shades of wool can be blended together to achieve realistic skin tones and gradients.
            • Time-Consuming: Creating a detailed portrait can take several hours to days, depending on the complexity and size.
              • Three-Dimensional: Unlike traditional flat portraits, needle felted portraits have a slight three-dimensional quality due to the nature of the wool.
